Just because one is a songwriter it doesn't automatically mean that they have more money than someone who does not write. There are even songwriters out there who don't own their publishing...the singer does. You don't know if this is the case with Rihanna.
That being said, Rihanna does have writing credits on all of her albums except this current one, even though she executive produced it. Her endorsement deals are also out of this world including the $20 million one with Nike, the same amount for CoverGirl. Then there is her perfume that is selling quite well, Gucci, Peugeot, Doritos etc. Plus she also gets a minimum of $400k per show she does in the US and slightly more in Europe.
Rihanna has also being paying for her own videos and those alone have generated over $20 million through her vevo channel.
Then don't forget the multi million dollar properties in Barbados and LA.
Even though she doesn't write that much an artist of Rihanna's calibre does have the clout to negotiate a better cut of the deal Most good songwriters are not singers and are unable to promote their songs so it makes sense that they write songs for singers who are likely to make it a hit.
Given all the above I say she is easily above $100million but I have seen some reports which state anything to $125 to £145 million.
