That's true, but the video shouldn't contradict the song.
That's like Beyonce shooting a video for "diva" where she plays a hobo in the video.
I don't see a problem with videos not following the song's storyline exactly, or even if they appear to contradict the storyline. If anything, it seems like a product of postmodernism where meaning is virtually subjective and relative.
It's really funny to me how everybody will go in and agree when it's a Madonna - Gaga comparison but when it's to another person they WILL argue it all the way down to take it away from the fact rather it be true or not.. It shows how the queen has made such an impact as an artist in the inddstry. The same way when Madonna was in her prime. -- But I don't think Katy is copying tbqfh. I think it just looks similar to what Gaga would do if anything.
Right? So sad.
Anyway, I'm glad that Gaga was the first major popstar of this generation to think up the idea of packaging really simple, mainstream pop songs with really weird, outlandish videos, outfits and performances. Her influence on her peers has made things a lot more fun in the pop music world - and in the case of artists like NIcki Minaj, even in the urban music world. I wonder where else it will spread.
Thats good for Gaga. But maybe Rihanna and Beyonce dont WANT to go all the way. You see there is a difference. Gaga has gone TOO far, she's going to reach a point where she cant outdo herself and she's gonna get stuck. The difference is she's an attention *****. Rihanna and Beyonce have unique interesting styles, but because they like it. They dont feel the need to wear a meat dress, I doubt Gaga really actually liked that dress.
The clothes Rihanna wore during the Rated R era is stuff she'd wear on the street, and hanging out.
Gaga only wears that **** for photos and press and for attention, but not for hanging out.
Personally, I think the first person to start this whole "weird female Pop era" is Rihanna. Disturbia was the first of its type among Britney, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and others.

I so agree especially with the Nicki influence people will NEVER admit it when she's even kind of hinted it before in interviews. But who else but Gaga influencing different types of people in other different genres. No one else is doing it.

My point, fool, was that you an arrogant stan, giving a bad name for other GaGa stans. Don't try me.
Btw, I formatted my font so that people will pay more attention to my posts.
Why are there so many childish people on this damn thing
Oh, and thanks for admitting that Gaga stans have something to be arrogant about.
(..And because I've answered other people who clearly confuse themselves,
you wouldn't have made the comment if you believed I didn't have something to be arrogant about.)
Nope, I was actually being totally serious. They both copy the hell out of her. How can people see the Madonna copying but not that? They wouldn't even exist if Gaga hadn't burst onto the scene.
Kesha is much more like Uffie than Lady Gaga, and when I say much more I mean a total shameless rip-off and I don't see any Gaga on Nicki Minaj, Nicki Minaj is Lil Kim part 2, crazy outfits, colored wigs, rap (and even covered a few songs of her and uploaded onto youtube before blowing up).. I don't see any Gaga on neither of them
