It really does put everything into perspective

And then they wonder why people find GaGa stans so annoying. smh.

This is what happens when pop creativity died for many, many years in the mainstream world. Where reality TV stars and tabloid socialites make up the celebrity. Gwen Stefani started out heavily creative in her solo era, but she had always been so it wasn't as new. In the underground scene plenty of acts are creative, perhaps more creative than Gaga, but they are not in the light. Gaga is. She's refered to as an artiste, as Pitchfork put it, so it makes since that people react to her this way. Gaga is not getting too much credit, she's getting back what she puts out.

I really like this post. But as for the bolded part, they are definitely more creative than Lady Gaga. There are so many independent/underground acts that come up with much more creative material than her.

What designer was it (it was someone big - I need to find the magazine) who said, stars like Beyonce and Rihanna have always come to me asking to look a little weird and edgy without ever going too far. Lady Gaga is the first big superstar who has ever said to me, go all the way.

If you mean the video, there is no "might", it will be imo.

That would be really, REALLY interesting...
But I don't see it happening, at least for now. Remember she tweeted against MTV, saying that kattycats and monsters are all about the same

True, but it's probably why she broke through. If she'd started off even with something like BR instead of Just Dance she never would have become a big star, but she was able to bring an interesting aesthetic and become more interesting musically as a result.

What are ya'll talking about ? You guys needa chill, just because Gaga has an "alien" look doesn't mean Katy copied, the song is called E.T, she should be some type of alien or that would just be weird.

There's pages of people from different stan groups saying "anyone who does anything out of the ordinary will be compared to Gaga."
It's an overall observation. Don't make yourself look stupid now.

He might have said that, BUT right before Lady Gaga blew up and I mean literally RIGHT BEFORE, The Sasha Fierce promo pics were released and Beyonce let the world know she was letting Thierry Mugler take over her image for the era as he did. The I Am Tour videos show them working together before Just Dance was even released to the world so all im saying is it was happening anyway. Gaga had influence on pop culture, but I don't think she's had any on the mainstream pop stars in particular image wise.

Definitely. I was going to add that in her defense, there is much less room for creativity in mainstream pop acts because there is a certain mold you have to fit and you have to have universal appeal with nearly everything that you do. But, she did choose to be a mainstream artist and if she wanted, she could branch out and do more experimental music.

Thats good for Gaga. But maybe Rihanna and Beyonce dont WANT to go all the way. You see there is a difference. Gaga has gone TOO far, she's going to reach a point where she cant outdo herself and she's gonna get stuck. The difference is she's an attention *****. Rihanna and Beyonce have unique interesting styles, but because they like it. They dont feel the need to wear a meat dress, I doubt Gaga really actually liked that dress.
The clothes Rihanna wore during the Rated R era is stuff she'd wear on the street, and hanging out.
Gaga only wears that **** for photos and press and for attention, but not for hanging out.
Personally, I think the first person to start this whole "weird female Pop era" is Rihanna. Disturbia was the first of its type among Britney, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and others.

It's really funny to me how everybody will go in and agree when it's a Madonna - Gaga comparison but when it's to another person they WILL argue it all the way down to take it away from the fact rather it be true or not.. It shows how the queen has made such an impact as an artist in the inddstry. The same way when Madonna was in her prime. -- But I don't think Katy is copying tbqfh. I think it just looks similar to what Gaga would do if anything.

No, she's not
She keeps doing different things. She doesn't "outdo" herself, at least not literally. She actually NEVER does herself; she always changing. The only ones who do Gaga are Katy Perry, Ke$ha... But that's only my opinion...
