Telephone is boring. I'm in the club and I can't answer my phone.
At least if you're going to go that route, do it like Ke$ha and boast about what a cheap, drunk ***** you are and how you want boys to turn around so you can hit that. Give it some attitude.
It had such a summery vibe. Which is why I didn't let the video detract from the summery feeling of the song. It was my summer song of 2010. Got me through July and August in true drunken fashion
It would have done better if promoted and the if the video wasnt dark. i mean why release a video like that when its summer time

Did i lie?? and its very generic the beat lyrics the whole thing is generic
Dont quote me wat i said is fact Alejandro ***** all over this
Lie? No, you're just delusional. I mean, can you even tell me what you think you mean when you use the word "generic" twice in one sentence to describe "Telephone?" You sound as bad as those pressed Madonna stans dissing the "generic" sound of BTW.
And PUHLEASE, tell me any other song which sounds as grand and epic as Telephone (from the beat to the harp to the huge collaboration to the voicemail bit at the end) while being about something so meaningless?
That song is deceptively simple and one of the best of her career so far.

... That song has more attitude than anything Ke$ha's nasty-ass capped tooth and any song she's ever done.

How did it compare to BTW in terms of sales and stuff?
Sales, I'm unsure. (though it's certified platinum)
But I do remember it getting an insane amount of airplay, which is something it has on BTW. BTW's airplay isn't as dominating. (at least in Western Canada).
