I agree on both claims. I think that the American Idol performance will work well for them. Combine this with their increasing airplay and the fact that they are good digital sellers, and you have a hit in the making.

I could've also said her last album sold 300K+ first week based on foreign non-US markets sales alone but I left that out

I love that album but it's doing terrible for her standards. For me it's Maroon 5's Hands All Over, well, all over again. Even the first singles are selling similarly (except Misery got more airplay - WTH might outsell it).
