Yeah I dont get why everyone cares so much about the charts.

A reputation of a song lies in its longevity, and it's success in sales.

Charts are just pointing out the more popular songs THAT WEEK. In the end, labels want sales and longevity and not chart success.

Chart success IS promo though.... so is a plus, but if you have the sales, labels don't care.

This week it will probably be around 200K and next week around 160K-170K

aw Rihanna is realeasing single after single, andthey both sell pretty well, OG and WMN were released aproximativly at the same time! who else can do it???
She has 10 or 11 2X platinium singles.....who else can do it??? and why r u just talking about the US???what about the UK , wasnt OG the 4th best selling song there after just two mounths, and it was way ahead of telephone wich was released mounths ago.....

Im pretty sure if Rihanna hadnt release WMN, OG would have more shine, and it would be at 3.5 millions or more

HIAM for example sold 400K and took forever to reach 1 million sales. Songs sales build up over a period of time!

is right. a 4 million selling top 3 hit is much better a 2 million selling multi-week number one. peak positions are nice features which only stans care about, while a song's popularity and the label's money depend on longevity and total sales.
