California King Bed sounds NOTHING like any of her other singles. Neither does Man Down or Cheers, so those three are obviously the three single choices.
Fading and Complicated are by far some of my faves but I don't see them doing much at this point in time. She needs to find her niche and with CKB and Man Down she has it. I'm glad shes not releasing another uptempo. If I had my way S&M wouldnt have been 3rd single I would have released Cheers.

CKB sounds like BGDC. And that song hit #1, so it's not that risky.
Just like her label said, ballads sell albums, and Rihanna would get a lot of Hot AC with this song, and a lot of Pop airplay, so I think its perfect.
If Man Down was released, it wouldnt do amazing on Pop or Hot AC, but would smash Urban. So its basically equal.
And didn't she hint that she would be releasing Man Down for the spring? I think that is smart...I think Rihanna is verrry smart about her single choice and the order they go in so I am gonna trust her. I love CKB so I will be happy to hear that on the radio
