I would love if Rihanna submit to best Female R&B this year as well for "Love The Way You Lie (Piano Version)" surely she will be going up against Bey and J-Hud but to be nominated alongside those 2 will be a accomplishment.

Something just hit me. This year the Grammys completely snubbed Love The Way You lie in every single category and this is rare as it was the most nominated song this year and went home with nothing. 0 for 5.

Do you think the Grammys can reward them AGAiN next year with Love The Way you Lie 2.

Eminem got a Pop nod last year with Airplanes 2 which is even more rap influenced than LTWYL and I believe that if nominated it could take it.

It depends on how loved an artist is - and sadly, history has proven that only Grammy favorites can get album tracks nominated. (See Alicia and John with Lessons Learned, Gaga with DitD, etc.)

It made sense for LTWYL to go 0 out of 5. Look at what it competition was. "Empire State of Mind," "Need You Now" and "Bad Romance." They gave Em the cold shoulder this year. Only two wins.

Why are people already convinced that My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is going to be left out of AOTY? With the Blue Ribbon panel picking nominees in recent years, there has been consistent genre-splitting across the category, and Kanye is the obvious frontrunner for the designated rap slot. This album has been a huge comeback for him and I don't see why they would snub him. It's Gaga fans who should be worried whether NARAS will make room for two pop albums again or just nominated Adele.

I know. but maybe The Committe will see it as a make up for shutting it out last year and plus its a song that has been performed live on multiple occasions. they performed part 2 on the Grammys.

I think people are worrying about Kanye falling off the radar. The panel members are a weird bunch. Look at how they through in Katy over more deserving critically acclaimed albums. Dr. Dre is slowly gaining buzz, and this will be his comeback album. We would have to see what he does critically and commercially. Time will tell.

Im not tryna be a hater but I dont see TWO pop albums going head to head again and if in fact gaga gets the AOTY nod over Adele, I still see Adele taking the Pop Vocal album grammy which has become pretty prevalent recently in the past 2 years where an AOTY nominee doesnt get their genre award.

Id be VERY surprised if Gaga was snubbed in AOTY. Her album would have to seriously undeliver in expectations.

Maybe so, but people's AOTY predictions are Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Adele and Radiohead. Let's be realistic here! And while there is a distinct possibility that another big rap release could steal Kanye's buzz (like what happened with Jay-Z last year), the unprecedented acclaim for MDTWF suggests an Outkast-like contender.

- the only two BIG rap albums in this eligiblity period are Pink Friday (which isn't getting in) and The Carter IV (quality unknown)
- the reviews
- the overdue factor

Not in Kanye's favor
- this is his least successful album, in terms of singles - nothing has pop appeal
- people have stopped talking about it already
- he's Kanye.
- he'll be releasing a new album plus Watch the Throne in this eligibility period

4 > 3.

I still think he'll be up for AoTY, though - unlike Taylor, who is following Norah's Feels Like Home period to a tee.

It wouldn't get nominated if it was submitted to an R&B category because...it's not R&B? And there's too many big contenders in the female pop category. Sorry...but there's no way in hell LTWYL Pt. 2 is getting a nom.

This is true, but Outkast also had HUGE album success with HUGE singles both times they were nominated. I wouldn't say that Kanye is in the same position as they were. They had way more in their favor than Kanye does now.
