JIve wants to promote the album more than the single. TTWE will have a little single cover on the top chart when it hits #1 soon anyways...

Yeah, I understand, but it's still a meh decision to me. The best-selling digital album of all time has miniscule sales, whereas singles take in huge sales. For example:

The Fame: 300,000 copies ---> (300,000)*(10) = $3,000,000
Just Dance: 7,700,000 copies ----------------------->$7,700,000

In addition, I'm not sure how big the numbers are in terms of first-week sales of the song. But in the big scheme of things, it shouldn't make a big difference. Will just impact how quickly this song picks up momentum, more than anything.
