The eye roll was for fun and disecting meant for breaking up my post in parts it had nothing to do with me not wanting or anybody rather not wanting to read and comment on my post. This is the Loud thread and when it comes to discussing Rihanna, we all mean well so i wasnt viewing your opinion in a negative light. First of all you dont know if MD will be a hit or not, as far as I see it it has a much better chance than what you think. If it becomes hugely successful; it has a chance. There's no formula for what can be given to "Record Of The Year".Its all about the quality and quality wise Man Down *****.

Your post was long so I broke it down to more clearly comment on each section.
Me being new has nothing to do with it, so no, you're not going to let anything slide because I didn't do anything wrong. You are the one throwing shade and talking down. Get it together.
There is a formula for ROTY, whether it's written down or stated or not. I can say, being 100% sure that Man Down would never been nominated for ROTY. It, along with S&M are the furthest thing from Grammy potential, based on the Grammy's unspoken criteria/precedent.

Rockstar flopped because it wasn't radio friendly. A song being amazing and being successful are two entirely different things. It's that reason why I am against MD being released anytime soon. It is not radio friendly but a lot of Rihanna fans don't see that because they are jaded by the quality of the song. I'm not here for my fave songs being singles. I bought the CD, so I have them regardless. All I want is for this era to be as successful as possible, and IMO, releasing Man Down right now is not conducive to that.

The success of a single does affect the potential for future singles, point blank. Before the release of Rude Boy, Def Jam planned on it being the last single from Rated R because they considered Russian Roulette and Hard unsuccessful/not living up to their potential. It was only because RB blew up that we got Rockstar & Te Amo. Similarly, a "flop single" will have a reverse effect. Which is why I think the safe, more likely to be smash records should be released
first. If the 4th and 5th singles do amazing, then DJ will have no choice but to release another one, because it's all about money to them (or any label).

Yeah, but they liked it because you showed them it. But in order for a song to be successful, radio has to support it. Radio wasn't responsive to it. It wasn't like anything on the radio - which is unfortunately not always a good thing. I don't think it even crossed 5 million audience impressions, to be honest.
