I don't think the video will have an amazing effect on sales. It will just a) either stabilize the sales or b) increase them a little. Everyone knows the song already, although maybe if the video is good enough it will get past haters of the song to enjoy it.

But I don't think it will be losing #1 anytime soon. All the biggest digital competition has much lower AI (RITD, OTF, S&M, E.T. etc.). or vice versa (high airplay, but sales peaked a while ago - Grenade, Firework, etc.). FY is the only song even close but it's losing its sales edge & it's always at least five steps behind GaGa.
