Remember when the Mannequin rehearsals leaked? Listening to it through the video, I used to get goosebumps. It was SO DAMN ****ING GOOD. To me, it sounded better than Toxic - better than anything she's ever released. I was SO ready for it and I had expectations for it higher than mountain Everest.
When the album came out, I wanted to cry. It was a MESS. Don't get me wrong, the song is great and all, but in the rehearsals video it sounded so much better... SO SO SO SO MUCH better. I was devastated. I remember deleting the song because it destroyed the image I painted of Mannequin in my head. I downloaded the LQ snippet of the video instead and started whoring it again.
Mannequin could have been the best song in mankind. I'm going to stop hyping myself over snippets because I don't want to get myself killed like I almost did in 2008.
In fact in 2008 I didn't even listen to much music. I only discovered "Circus" in summer 2009
