Yeah, listen I love Rihanna so dont criticize me when I say this, but she just cant sell Arenas well in the US unless its MSG or Staples Center.
During GGGB era, a huge era, she took 4 months to sell out the 2,000 seat Nokia theater in NYC.
Then during Rated R, she had a bad era, but took her forever, and Loud isnt doing any different, and so far, all the stops, except for LA, are new.
She sold out in Canada though.

That's all stan talk, though. Of course we wish she'd sell out in seconds like Taylor Swift, but the reality of the matter is that she doesn't. It's not the end of the world if she doesn't sell out in a day...or if she doesn't sell out at all. That's not even out problem. Hopefully the new management will realize something isn't clicking with the US. Twitter was a good start but it kinda backfired since Rih is kinda vulgar. I love it, but she isn't gonna attract the same 8 year old girls like someone like Taylor or Katy would.

Yeah its just weird, cause she sells out as fast as Gaga and Britney in Europe and sells albums more than them their, so why is the US so difficult for her?
Maybe she just really lost it more than we though the Rated R era. I think a lot of people found her unappealing.

It really did. It's kinda sad bc I feel like if someone so much as smacked Taylor Swift she'd sell another million in a week. (I don't mean that by their race...I just mean Taylor has this "America's Suiteheart/good girl persona) I don't mind, though. I love that album and that era and yes it'll suck if she doesn't do well in the US with her tour as a stan on ATRL, but life goes on. As long as she continues to make amazing music I'll love her.

I've been reading yall's comments on Rihanna and her tour and I have to agree with you all. First of all, we all know that Rihanna isn't that "popular" in the US. Lets just face it, her time was the year "2007-2008". That was her PEAK in the US! Now she's just a great artist in the US, who has nothing but HITS, but at the moment, the only real popular people are, GAGA, BEIBER, SWIFT, EM. I mean, they are what AMERICA buys and go to concerts, and tours. Don't get me wrong, Rihanna is doing amazing in the US, but it's just not her time yet, I'm sure her time will come around again, but as of right now, not yet. I'm perfectly happy with how LOUD is doing, and I just don't want many cancellelations, thats just horrid. I feel, Rihanna has to make up for her flop era, RATED R. It was a commericially viable release, and that's perfectly fine, you don't WIN every single time. I feel that songs like Cheers, and CKB, songs that aren't controversial, will once again, win over AMERICA and her next album, or re-release will have to EXCEED EXPECTATIONS! But, i'm proud of Rihanna, she owned the GRAMMYS and she was recognized with a GRAMMY!
I can't wait till Rihanna is that "IT" person again, but until then, lets just keep stanning for our Queen, and watch her slowly snatch everybody's wig!!!!

^^THIS!
I love Rihanna and will always be Navy! No matter what! I just think the US is so judgmental towards her! She needs to do something ground breaking! After this era, she needs to take a break! Like a year or so! Cause "battleship" will be released 2012 and she needs that focus! Maybe she can do a re'release around that time. Then take a break until like 2013/14. Give people time to miss her, cause she really never gives anyone a chance to miss her! (Granted, I miss her as soon as she leaves)! lol! but still, she needs that! And the next album needs to be something monumental! She's taking a lot of control with her career now. New perfume, new movies, albums, singles, endorsements, etc. She just needs to do something crazy monumental to win the US over!

What Rih needs is an inspirational song...hopefully Fly does that for her. She has a lot of sexual songs...that's not gonna get mothers to take their 8 yr olds to see her.
But anyway, what time is the Brit awards tomorrow for the US? I'mma need a stream.

Hey Navy!
I've been reading, and just thought I'd put in a little...input lol
I asked my friends, and they all said Rated R turned them off a little (Losers......lol)
but that Loud is really getting them to like her again! I just think people are hesitant to invest in her again, cause they don't want her to make another RR after Loud you know? Like everyone got into her for GGGB and were disappointed for RR so ppl don't want that to happen after Loud.
And I'm SURE the tour will eventually sell well. it's only been a couple days!
Peace o<
