Copycat? Seriously, if you are going to state a claim make sure you have some factual basis. Other than some claiming musical similarities to Express Yourself, Gaga has never been accused of ripping off of other musical artists.
Gimmicks? Sex is a gimmick. You can't tell me Brit didn't change her image in an attempt to be sexy. Sex sells.
Britney is not a "gay" artist. If Gaga is vocal about her support for the LGBT community, that is her personal agenda. If anything, being so supporting and vocal would cause many to NOT like her due to LBGT being a taboo subject.

Not until she released BTW. And trend setter of what? Oh yeah trend setter of weirdos I must say. She needs to change for relevance because she herself knows that without doing so, people would lose interest on her so she has to keep it up even if it means making herself look like a joke.

Britney, while having successful pop hits in an era with virtually no pop music (the 2000s) didn't provide anything groundbreaking. Much like Celestial mentioned in another thread, if she truly had a powerful, legendary impact on pop music, why did pop remain in the background, hidden by R&B/Hip-hop? This is the same environment Gaga worked with and although I care not who outsells who, it was really Gaga that brought all the dancey pop stuff back to radios. I personally shunned radio between 2000-2008 because I'm a big pop fan and Britney, well, sorry, her music just didn't do it for me. It wasn't until I heard "Just Dance" in 2009 that I started with mainstream music again. Now I'm lovin' this dance stuff.
Oh yeah and it's pretty obvious Lady Gaga will steal the thunder this year (in answer to the poll question).
Sorry about the mistakes (if any). Le keyboard is misbehaving.
Notice that Britney is suddenly making the techno/club/dance beats with HIAM. Why? Because it's what's hot now Ground breakers don't follow, they lead.

Nope, they will smash hard. both of them. Gaga's new single euphoria will fade in some days, just like HIAM's. Besides, Britney's video will premiere soon and it looks like it's going to be HUGE for her.

Please tell me this is a joke?!
Britney made THE dance album of the year in 2007, back when Gaga would only play piano songs. If it wasn't for Blackout, Gaga wouldn't exist.

Spill the tea sis. And Rolling Stones wouldn't call Blackout the most influential pop album in the last 5 years for nothing. DEAL.

Gaga will outshine Britney. After her performance on the Grammy's it's over because then the domination of Gaga will begin. Britney better start beginning to promote her song and stop releasing these useless teasers. But both will have success. But I think Gaga will have more just look at Born This Way.

Britney made dance music mainstream. She gave us "techno/club/dance beats" on "Blackout," cited by critics as one of the most influential albums of all time and the most influential album of the last five years. She experimented with dubstep on "Blackout" but with "Hold It Against Me" she took it to another level.
She did it first, they others followed.

I like Blackout but people act as if it were Thriller. It is not that revolutionary.
