It doesn't really matter? Yes, it does. And I do care more than you do, which is unfortunate.
I hope that it does not have a heavily 80's inspired sound, because it's been done already.
Understood, although, I thought we were supposed to be evolving.
...Vin
Shes finding a balance in the way she projects her voice + uses it in her songs. You cant really change how your voice sounds but you can change how they alter it...and its pretty evident that it is altered very little in BTW when you compare it to songs like Paparazzi+Summerboy from the Fame.
So you're upset she's releasing a dance track single? That doesn't really make sense. And at the end of the day it doesn't matter if it's slow or fast it's still selling like hot cakes. When Gaga decides to release different types of songs slow, mid-tempo or whatever the case there is going to be a problem. She can't cater to everyone needs have a seat.
Um, no. I'm not upset, and if I am, then so what? I should be entitled to that. My issue with GaGa is that she takes the easy way out and I know she is capable of doing something else.
Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Janet were not releasing a bunch of songs with similar production. Stupid comparison. "Born This Way" is a dance track. Has GaGa released anything that wasn't a dance track? "Paparazzi?" Even that has some dance influences. She had an opportunity to release "Speechless" or "Teeth" as a final single, but no, she went with a dance track. Bye girl.
This translates to me as: "I secretly love Born This Way, so I'm going to find some other desperate reason to **** on Gaga."
Anything that gets released that features a dance beat (which is every pop song from now until 2014) is automatically labeled "generic" by fools who don't know better. Yes, "Born This Way" has the thumping four-on-the-floor dance beat found in every dance song, but if you open your ****ing ears and get over your hangup of being confronted by this kick-hihat-kick/snare-hihat-kick-hihat-kick/snare-hihat patten that you've heard on a thousand the songs, you're likely to hear a lot of intricacies that give this track a very distinctive feel and set it apart from the latest Guetta or DJ Frank-E turd. Did you give the almost-masterful glitch and stutter editing the attention it deserves? Did you hear that quirky little sample/melody that plays softly in the background during the chorus? No, you didn't cause you heard that thump thump thump thump and rushed to the judgement that this is as generic as say, Usher's last hit or that new Pitbull single. I hate you.
Her dance-pop fans don't appreciate this. She gives me Mariah tees on some parts.
This is different of what she has done before of course and even though I do enjoy this, it is still a pretty generic R&B song. And generic for generic, it would be better if she sticks with dance music anyway.

You are entitled to your opinion but when you say what she is doing is the "easy way out" or "all the same" sounds differently you can't see that you're all over the place but I digress chile.

This, this and much more of this. Dance music is way bigger than people give credit for.

Thematically, i'd like some similarity to BTW, but not in a literal sense. I really appreciate when artists, no matter their medium, express their viewpoints and make statements via their work. I'm looking foward to Americano and Government Hooker especially as they've been described as songs that will speak on current issues.
As far as sound in terms of production, i don't mind as long as theres diversity. I've mentioned it a million times but i really want to mash-up a insane dance beat with a ballad type song with some opera thrown in for good measure. END of X-MAS wish list
And You...?.
Well, I previously mentioned that I would prefer that the album does not sound like "Born This Way" or anything too heavily influenced by 80's music. Hopefully she pulls a Christina Aguilera where her first single relates to nothing else on the album on a sonic level.
A dance beat, with a ballad, and opera? Interesting. Adam Lambert's "Soaked" comes to mind.

Oh yes, ug. That's exactly what my post means. You would make sense, except I actually said the song is decent. My problem is her keep releasing dance tracks as singles. It has nothing to do with quality.

So, GaGa doesn't always release dance tracks as singles? That's taking the easy way out.
