My Verdict: Its catchy, just not what I expected. Very different from anything shes done. Its a power anthem no doubt. It lacks that epic build up and climax like bad romance, but its much more light and dancey than grimey techno german house. Its not instant smash but i suppose everyhting needs time.
However I will say that any claim of this being her best work ever is so wrong. She has yet to set the bar higher than Bad Romance. So we have 16 more songs coming our way, Im only going to pass full verdict until I hear the whole album.

Overall I approve of the single. Gotta give her credit for effort.

I never hated it, I just don't think it's her best work. When I first heard it I was disappointed because it was completely different to what I was expecting. I thought it would be a lot darker than what it is, it's a really uplifting song but despite the depth of the lyrics I think it sounds rather simple. It's GREAT! The production reminds me of Poison & Not Myself Tonight. The chorus could have been stronger, with stronger vocals by GaGa.

Born This Way is everything I would be. It is gay, but has this universal sound to it. I knew I would not like it first go. The sound is fresh, and the instrumental is fire. I think it would sound 10x better in a car or my iTunes.

Well Born This Way is Gaga's weakest lead single for sure. I know why she released it first, but I'm still bitter at her not releasing the infectous possible RedOne track. I like Born This Way though, it's good. It is a real grower. I entirely disagree with PJ though. The song is a possible career suicide, but I think Gaga can pull it off because she's Gaga

Even though I expected negative reviews from fans, I can't read them It kind of feels like BTW could have been the potential end to Lady Gaga....but she is full of surprises
