While we wait...when + where did you hear your 1st Lady Gaga...and what was your reaction?
I first heard "Just Dance" back in April of 2008 (when it was released). I loved the song and listened to it until I wore it out. I Googled her, started liking her and began introducing her to my friends. However, the defining moment when I officially became a die-hard fan was when I watched this:
She had me at "Pop music will never be lowbrow. My name is Lady GaGa. So You Think You Can Dance?" I watched that performance over and over again. Everything that she did, wore and used fascinated me. I knew right then she was something special.
I started hardcore singing her praises after that and was labeled "the first one to like Lady GaGa," "the guy who introduced me to Lady GaGa," etc. amongst my groups of friends. The Fame was being released in Canada first, so, of course, I was dying for August 19 to come. It did, I bought the CD and have been a loyal fan ever since.
I may be a Britney stan, but I'm one hell of a GaGa fan, too.
It's already 6AM here and I gotta go to school soon.
I hoped the soung would have leaked by now. So I have to hear it after school.
I wish you all nice listenings to BTW.
And yes to that apple promo.
Didn't Perez say that we would hear it at like, 6 AM or something? I'm not expecting to hear it before the morning. I am going to bed a little earlier tonight, though, so that I can listen to it tons before I go to work tomorrow.
In my dream world, the one where Gaga performed at the Superbowl, she premiered Born This Way. She became the 1st artist in history to debut with 1,000,000m for digital downloads. Thus making her the new Queen of Pop, causing a lot people to cry at this feat.
