I never said that. I said that album sales are not the most important... there are many factors that should be taken into consideration when measuring success.

Bruno's album was more of a slowburn than anything. Nicki was on a bunch of artists' songs for an entire year, so a lot of her success comes from that. But Bruno accumulate three #1s and his album is starting to sell more. They are about even, but I see Bruno winning in the long run.

Bruno Mars' album is at 600k. Nicki's album is at 1 million copies. That's a 400k difference.

Bruno Mars has two #1s as a lead artist that both have sold 3 million copies or more. Nicki's highest peaking single is "Your Love," which only peaked @ #14 and it sold about a million units. It's debatable who has had the biggest debut success. You can't discredit album sales and count single success and vice versa. All of it has to be taken into account.
