What a shame; judging a song based solely on its lyrics, which aren't even that bad to begin with.

The only questionable portions imo are the ones about the transgendered, etc but even then that's what she was going for. The lyrics aren't bad it's just not what some wanted/expected

Honestly, I don't know that the criticism over "chola" is very fair. Taken iterally, it refers to people who are "Indian half-breeds," who themselves have been subject to discrimination, so it fits with the theme of the song.

But, I mean, it's not my culture, so I don't really get to determine what should be considered offensive to them or not. I just don't think it's going to be that big a deal at the end of the day.
