I don't know how anyone can judge the quality of Born This Way without hearing it. Of course the lyrics can be judged I guess, but the song itself? Can we wait until we hear it? I'm skeptical about the producers, but I what basis do I really have to go on? When the song comes out I can fully say whether it is piss poor, bad, ok, good, wonderful, or epic. By reach I meant all the other people that will hear the song. 20 million people at the Grammys + 25 million people on Facebook. Plus there's even more promo that night (60 minutes, up to 15 million viewers)

Plus it's hard to compare Gaga to Britney because the public interest in Britney has dwindled since Gaga came out.

There are too many pop songs that excel in the latter and not in the former for that to be a likely conclusion, IMO.

If her strength lies in melody/production and she's been hyping this particular song up, chances are she didn't half-ass it on that front.

Then again, I don't necessarily think the BTW lyrics are lazy, they're just really obvious, which seems to be what she was going for.

I don't know. "Telephone" with that lyrics is still one of the best Gaga songs in terms of production IMO.

This. Only fans and pop music/culture watchers know. I live in an area where no one gives a **** about pop music except for when it's on the radio, and thus no one knows about Born This Way's lyrics.

The publicity is only bad if the people are ignorant(aka a high percentage of the world) but if they knew her reasoning behind it they would probably be more understanding. All I know is that she's a very smart woman and some people don't give her enough credit.
