My gosh, I listened again and I just HAD to post again. The depth of the album is crazy, I can tell Rick had a hand in the project, he is such a versitle producer.
It doesn't matter if she's attractive or not, her music ***** on all the pretty girls' generic trash music. The fact that she doesn't exactly fit the pretty and sexy girl mold makes her that much more personable.
I want this album.
"I set fire to the rain" is the song of the year for me so far, its brilliant
I think she is beautiful, charming, vivacious, gracious, and wonderful. Her personality and musicality outweigh the large majority of contemporary artists.
As for this new record, a lot of the songs sound very similar, as least at first listen, and there isn't much variety. 19 had more bright songs on it, pleasant for many more occasions than just sadness (21). There are no songs I dislike, though. Take It All is one of my early favorites.
I love the Tedder tracks. Somone Like You and Set Fire To The Rain are my faves. I agree though, she is strangely attractive. I think its cos she isnt 'perfect' which is fresh, I like that she doesnt really care about her weight.
