I'm not sure, to be honest. Britney has more general public support just because well, she's Britney. Right when I got home after school yesterday, a lot of people from my school were posting the song on their Facebooks, and she has barely promoted the song.

That's tough. I can already tell you, a lot of people I know are "sick" of her. Basically hearing her songs all the time. Can't help US radio. But, I think new music is all people need. The problem here is how appealing "Born This Way" will be. Both as a song and lyrically. If it has that appeal, she shouldn't have a problem bringing back general listeners. Or she could continuing to turn them off.

I guess we'll know as the date nears. Any reviews or anything on the song?

We can expect her to do better in the UK, the electropop dance music is more popular over here. Whilst the generic Dr. Luke sound is generally eaten up more in the US.

America loves the underdog and Britney is the underdog in this case. Gaga has been ruling the radio and charts since last year. She is top, and Britney is re-entering. Britney will get the sympathy vote.

Gaga will probably have to do promo, which shouldn't be an issue. I really do believe she is performing at the Grammy's, and then Anderson Cooper. Her tour is one big promo. I don't know if BTW will hit #1 in less than 24 hours, but we'll get it there!

Besides, Born This Way will most likely do better on a whole. '3' debuted at #1, but Bad Romance was more successful while only peaking at #2 weeks after its release. Edit: I'm not trying to start a Britney vs. Gaga war, but this is just how I think the two will run together.

I'm not worried at all.

People don't spend their hard earned money on "sympathy", sweetie. It's about time you stopped boiling Britney's success down to the underdog arguement.
