It is very sad when that kind of stuff happens. I do think there are a lot more resources today though. Gay boys can go on youtube and watch coming out stories, there are phone lines they can call, the world is still close-minded in a lot of ways, but it's also so much more open-minded than it used to be. The problem is, in elementary, jr high, and high schools there are still kids who think it's cool to pick on gays because that's what they're conditioned to do by parents, etc. The adult world is a lot easier to exist in because people can figure out where they fit in and surround themselves with likeminded people. :]
