The shifting magnetic pole would explain the birds, since they migrate using it. Any migrating species would be thrown off by a pole that keeps moving from where it was. How that would kill them, I don't know.

Birds and fish are the primary species affected though others have now been found. We're already overdue for the polar shift anyway.

The proposed causes are different across the board for all the deaths, but the fact there are LOTS of mass deaths all at once should be sign enough something is going on, regardless of cause.

If you read the Youtube comments, it's mainly discussing about how we are having a magnetic/plate shift, (hence the controversy around 2012), and they say when it just recently happened, it caused birds and fish into colder habits (wind/water) and they weren't able to survive such conditions.

That's one rumor and it makes sense.

But that doesn't explain the specific species of birds. It was blackbirds, and that's it. Why didn't any other birds get affected by it? I don't know about the fish one...
