Rihanna is pretty much a singles artist , Most of the time noone cares to support her albums enough to get her high sales in the first week , or a #1 album.
Notice tht over time she eventually sells albums.
Also , she hasnt gotten nearly as much accomplishments as the heavy hitters in this industry ( Beyonce , Gaga , Britney) & she's been out since '05 .... I mean it shouldnt take you 6 years to get a #1 album if you can pop out #1 singles.

I love how you say she's selling albums just as well as her peers, well when her peers sales are low of course she is, lets see her sell as well as Beysus.

Yes, she's definitely a single artist.
She can make one hit after another, but her albums just do not appeal to the general public.
Only when she puts out albums like GGGB or Loud, they have more of a disco vibe, are short and can be played in bars or whatever. No shade intended. That's just my opinion and how I see it.
