You're right, it's my opinion so I'm not pressed. I just think it was stupid to do that to her fans because to me it didn't seem to think how they would feel (like it was all about her or something). Very misleading and disappointing. I guess I put myself in your position and imagined what if Britney did that to her fans.
Anyway, I'm not here to troll Gaga and wish her fans the best. It will be a long wait you guys you hold on tight.

The release date is the only one which makes sense, and the one we were expecting, The thing that irks me is that the "happiest and most exciting night" of her life is telling us what we could have figured out for ourselves. I'm NOT being ungrateful, I love that she gave us anything at all, but what wasn't nice (yes, I'm going to say that) is the extent to which she hyped A RELEASE DATE. She acted as if she was giving us an entire album instead of the release date for the album. Though the fact that she said it was an "announcement" should have squandered our hopes of anything more than an ANNOUNCEMENT, I still don't think it was necessary to use such phrases on her half, building the hopes and expectations of her fans, and everyone else in the general public going "all that buildup for THAT?". It isn't ingratitude at what she's giving us, it's the way that it was built up that was head-scratching. If someone says they have the best Christmas present ever and then give you $20, it isn't that you don't want the twenty bucks, you just don't get why they would tell you it's such a good Christmas present, when it's just a nice present. Anyone agree?

I never said I expected the entire album, I'm not brain-dead. She teased us AS IF she was giving us the album. Up until her last few tweets I assumed it would be exactly what we got (picture+dates). It isn't that we wanted more, it was logically EXPECTED based on her saying "This has to be the happiest + most exciting night of my life. You've created this moment. You imagined me. You are, you wrote #BornThisWay." And her countdown. It just seemed very excessive.
Yes, it was nice. It wasn't this whole grandiose gift, though. A release date isn't a big deal. Most artists just throw the date out and not make a big deal out of it. A release date, to me, isn't a big deal. It's nice to know, but it doesn't warrant a countdown to find out when...
Is anyone a little worried about GaGa physically? She's going straight from her tour to a new CD and promotion etc...etc....it just seems like a lot and I don't want to see her 2 seconds from collapsing while singing Bad Romance again.

She's been obviously taking care of herself very well ever since the summer leg of the US began. Comparing videos from the Winter/Spring leg of the Monster Ball in Europe with the most recent ones, I'm shocked at how unhealthy and awkward she looked earlier this year. Extremely pale and thing as a match. I saw her earlier this month live and she looked fresher and healthier than ever, jumping around the set and screaming her guts out and singing her ass off.
Ever since she was diagnosed with Lupus she's probably taking some medicine or supplements. She's having two months now to "rest" (she'll definitely shoot the video for the first single this month), and if she did nearly 2 years of touring, we shouldn't worry at all. She has three months of touring and then the entire summer to do whatever.
Oh, and two additional things. I LOVED the pic. If that's the single cover, then be it. It's very much in the vibe of the one for Bad Romance, but it's very well shot and that hair is epic. I say go for it. It's simple but extremely strong. And you gotta love the metaphor of born this way... showing your bare ass to the world.
Also, we should be exciting for news the next coming weeks! She's gonna shoot the video this month, for sure, because she won't have time while touring!!! Yayyyyy

Wasn't the date half expected though? Some people are acting too dramatic. It was going either going to be before the tour or after and it makes much more sense to release after. They sold the tickets to The Monster Ball Tour so they are going to perform that show. Although I agree with Celestials earlier post, this leg was completely unnecessary. But after its over she'll have time to promote the album and start a brand new tour. It's really not that long. Its 5 months, but we'll be getting a single in 6 weeks. With the single, performances, photo shoots, a music video, time will fly by.

We would not have known the official release dates on our own. Clearly since everyone was expecting the album to come out a month from now lol.
But when Gaga said the happiest moment of her life, I think she is refering to the fact that the with the new year the new era has started. We're on board with the Born This Way. Gaga is really passionate about this era. I just think a lot of monsters got a little to anxious/eager and started to presume a lot of things.

Well the problem is there's more to it then Gaga going to the recording studio and poof album can come out next week. She was working on the album while touring, so she was never really sure when to expect Born This Way. There is the possibility that Gaga did not know the album would come out in May. So I just think it was a lot of conflict. Unfortunately I don't think there was anyway of her knowing, but if Gaga could give us the album now I'm sure she would!

Yeah, she's borderline positive. I'm not sure what that means, but she's definitely been looking much, much healthier lately. I couldn't believe she was touring for 2 years when I saw her on the 10th. Crazy.

I know, and it scary to think that she has that huge of a chance of developing the disease. One of my best friends was recently informed that there is a high incidence of the disease in his family. It's just scary. An I am so glad that she has done what she is doing to make her health improve. Maybe this new connection with her fans has made her realize that she needs to maintain her health so she can keep making music.
