Album: Lady Gaga - 'Born This Way' (#1)

Happy new year's everyone!!!
My two cents:
- I have been saying ever since May 2010 that the album would come in May 2011. She would NEVER release the album while touring. As soon as she booked those dates it was a wrap really.
- It's still bizarre that she's having the monster ball while having a new single out. She'll probably add it to the setlist (right after Bad Romance). If you think about it, what better way of promoting a single than performing it live to 20 thousand people every single ****ing night? Smart move guys
- She's not suffering from overexposure. She's very well hid away. Let's not forget that since Alejandro, she's nowhere to be seen in the public, mainstream eye except for the VMAs in September. WE monsters are the ones who are overexposed to her because we are desperately trying to find new stuff about her.
- NO ONE is growing tired of her. If anyone's growing tired, it's us die hard fans. And it's not even tired. We're just DESPERATE for new material and we're growing impatient because we take every single word that comes out of Gaga's spilling mouth. She has virtually no control over these decisions but she does need to shut up before she drives us crazy.
- The main public, friends of mine who aren't really Gaga friends have begun to ask "what happened to lady gaga? why doesn't she have new music out? has she retired already?". So the general public, aside from fans, is very much aware of her even though she's nowhere to be seen
- Wrapping it up: May is FINE. The promo is perfectly lined up, she'll have the entire summer to design the new tour (can you even imagine how it's gonna be?!), she'll wrap the Monster Ball and have time to shoot videos and everything. The promo is insane: Vogue, Anderson Cooper, that Oprah special in the summer, the Disney movie. Instead of stealing Britney's wig right off the map, both labels probably reached an agreement and let Britney have the spring in terms of album sales (they are still competing singles-wise). She still has a very firm grasp on that misplaced weave. And Katy Perry? Well, she'll still be blown off the charts. Call it a wrap for Whitetrash Dream

Vozas you sound so pressed.  No need to bring Katy Perry in your every post.
And I doubt Britney and Gaga's label reached an "agreement" over their releases. Britney doesn't need to and hasn't moved her date for anyone. In fact, Britney tweeted she is almost done recording her album while Gaga has been hyping up BTW for months (which we all know, is already finished).

lmfao! you don't understand how this works. Britney is UNSTOPPABLE in sales during her first few weeks.

I'm not pressed, I just genuinely love hating on her  don't worry about that.
And labels do that all the time. They want to avoid competition, especially for artists who compete in the same segment as Gaga and Britney do. I love them both but this is the best strategy. It creates more value and let's both of them shine.
And BORN THIS WAY, the album, is NOT finished. Why do we constantly delude ourselves? She keeps tweeting pictures in the studio. She's still recording sh*t for it. The bulk is probably done but she would never sit on material for over 6 months, which is when she began saying it was finished. Let's not kid ourselves.

I highly doubt the labels "reached an agreement". Gaga's chosen May because the tour is finished by then.

As if!  You need to get real and I don't intend on trolling Gaga's thread, but even the fans knew her announcement was a massive disappointment. She hyped her album to be the best of the decade (again, setting herself up for disappointment) and said herself that the album is finished. I mean, hello? She even did the photoshoots for it (which is usually the last portion of finishing an album).
This announcement (over an announcement) was a huge letdown and in my opinion, Gaga is so full of it already. Too quick for a newbie to have an ego like that.

Everytime you mention your hate for Katy, you bring flamebait, which isn't good.
And I think that GaGa really does have a majority of the album done. She has been recording ever since we saw that shot with Fernando Garibay in like April, and now we have rumors of her recording a last minute song in like October (the song inspired by fans outside her tour bus).
One thing I know for certain -- us monsters will become ever-so-closer throughout these 5 months.

You're right, it's my opinion so I'm not pressed. I just think it was stupid to do that to her fans because to me it didn't seem like she considered how you would feel (like it was all about her or something). Very misleading and disappointing. I guess I put myself in your position and imagined what if Britney did that to her fans.
Anyway, I'm not here to troll Gaga and wish her fans the best. It will be a long wait you guys you hold on tight.
