Yeah, people said the same about Rated R. Look at it now, ignored by pretty much everybody (General public, Awards, Grammys....) and it did nothing for Rihanna's career.

Rihanna gained the "respect" and "approval" from the public by Love the Way You Lie and LOUD.

With good single choices it would've sold greatly.
Rihanna isn't a Grammy favourite.

Sometimes,taking risks is a great choice.
Man Down will make people interested with her music even more.
