"Peacock" is more straightforward. Most people wouldn't have understood what "If U Seek Amy" meant if someone hadn't pointed out that it sounded like F-U-C-K me. "Peacock" chants the word "****" several times--it's very obvious. "Peacock" should have never seen the light of day though, IMO.

LFN is very safe but uber-infectious and has a massive chorus. It's a shoo-in for #1 but I understand why people see it as more of a summer single.

I agree with you, E.T. is different in a good way. Even though I would love LFN to be a single, I think it's too safe to release it and Katy has already proven herself enough with her single success.

And it's not like E.T. would flop.

I assume they would censor or completely remove the “cock **** cock” chant, in case it becomes a single. I agree that it shouldn't have made the cut at all, although it's annoyingly catchy.

"Last Friday Night" is impossible to hate and easily contactable. I would love for her to pick "E.T." for late winter/Spring, "Last Friday Night" for summer and then end the era with "Hummingbird Heartbeat". It could be a perfect era.

The album has a few great songs more (Circle The Drain, The One That Got Away, Who Am I Living For), but they would make bad single choices.
