British pop stars TAKE THAT have been crowned kings of Europe after their first album as a five-piece in 15 years topped the continental chart.

The band returned with a full line-up this year (10) for the first time since Robbie Williams quit in 1995 and their new record, Progress, has taken the top spot of the pan-European Hot 100 Singleschart.

The record topped the U.K. countdown upon its release on 15 November (10) and now it has climbed the European rundown to knock Rihanna's Loud to number two.

Bruce Springsteen's The Promise: Darkness on The Edge of Town is at three while Shakira's Sale El Sol and Pink's Greatest Hits - So Far make up the rest of the top five.
