Whitney never released 4 singles in one year because she didn't have too. That said she got 7 #1 singles back to back and has not been beat yet for that record.

You do realize your shading all current pop artists, including Beyonce, by saying that right?
Its not just shading Rihanna.

The difference is the others release to up their already high album sales for the era and could care less about a #1. Some people release new singles just to try for a decent amount of albums sales.
Whitney could stop at 3 singles because by then she would already have 8 million sold.

#00p
And Rihanna has released 7 singles this year so far (although "Hard" was released worldwide in 2010, but I'll let that one slide) and she will most likely release the 8th by the end of the year.

always the same talk, it doesn't stop her from getting those #1s
Exactly. People say the same things all over again, every time she gets a #1. Yet she still gets them. I got tired of hearing the same things nine times (See what I did there?)

yes, not to mention the sales are counted in the long run and WW. WW Loud will open > 400K. In the long run GGGB went almost 3X platinum in the USA, so much nonsense and jealousy in this forum
Fantastic, many people are eating their own words right now. First Loud debuted at #3 when it was supposed to "barely crack the top 10" according to some people, it sold more then 200k when some people were making fun of the predictions she got first, now she gets a #1 with OG when some people were saying it peaked at #3, I'm glad
Debuting barely at #3,cracking the 200K for the first time with her 5th record, while not having a #1 album after 9 #1 singles is rather pathetic.
