As I said before it was confirmed by THR (DMF didn't believe me ) it's the most expensive movie in ScreenGems history and cost more than their upcoming film Priest, which was in the $60M range.

On the plus side, people outside the US love musicals, it's not a "local" genre.

Then you were told wrong, it cost 55 mill all said, and done confirmed by The LA Times.
