I think that, maybe if you search certain terms on Google or something, it should monitor what sites you visit next (like if I googled "how to make a bomb", "10 year old nude", etc). But then again, if every single thing you do is monitored by the government, there's alot of room for abuse of power. How do I know I'm not going to be singled out for looking at a specific site they don't agree with? Or if I'm googling local protests or something, you know? Maybe I've just watched a few too many conspiracy shows.
And I agree about Twitter/Facebook/Myspace/etc. People do put way too much information. I noticed that several friends-of-friends that I don't even have added on my Facebook, when I view their profile, I have access to their phone number, what city they live in, the things they post on their wall, etc. So it'd be easy for someone to track the person down, or even stalk them, and that scares me. That's why I'll always stick to posting nothing but song lyrics on my Facebook.

Should be 18 or 21 in the US?
Europe?
Driving Under the Influence?

Well, I'm sure everybody under 21 is probably sneaking out, partying it up with alcohol right now. There's not really a point to change it anyway.

This. Why people (especially teenagers) are excited about drinking? Many times they kill themselves in an accident or because overdose. Not to mention that they can kill innocent people only because of that.

Mhm. Don't understand it at all.
I've only had a sip of alcohol to try it, actually it was only a few days ago, my mom let me and it tasted TERRIBLE.. I had to run and get something to wash it down with because it was so bad..
Beer smells disgusting, whatever crap I drank tasted disgusting, it causes problems, gets people drunk, makes people die.. it's like a liquid version of drugs.

My problem with the US drinking age is how it makes alcohol seem almost like a taboo to teens. The fact that it's a forbidden fruit is why so many kids abuse it--they take it all at once instead of drinking in a healthy way. Binge drinking leads to passing out and/or alcohol poisoning... or it could lead to maintained consciousness which could lead to driving a car which could lead to an accident and perhaps death.
Teens don't really understand how alcohol affects them. On a basic level, they do. But they don't know how much they can take, what the different drinks will do to their bodies, how they will act when under the influence, etc. Maybe this is off-base but it seems that, in Europe where drinking is more lax, teens don't see it as something cool or rebellious to do. It's just a fact of life. They treat it with respect and they drink responsibly, because they weren't raised to think drinking is bad--they were raised to think that it is nice to drink socially and in moderation. That equals less binge drinking and less damage caused by it.
I'm not sure if the lowering the age would stop this American phenomenon, as it would also mean younger and younger kids would want to drink. But maybe a less fear-instilling, EDUCATIONAL approach would help things a bit. If the kids were taught about drinking--realistic drinking--and not told to be so hush-hush about it, teenagedom would be a much safer place.

I don't think lowering the drinking age would solve the problem. American teens are just immature..... No offense to anyone. (I am an American Teen lol) But I agree with most of your points

There's a lot of kids, even some of my classmates that sit by me, that go to my school that smoke pot and cigarettes and buy weed and get high during/after school.. it's really sad. This could happen with alcohol too if the age limit goes down.

Keep it at 21, but that doesn't mean anyone is gonna not drink (including myself). I like alcohol

It should be enforced. I don't know why we make laws if we're not gonna apply them.

Hmm, drinking age... That's a tough one. As many other people said, lowering it isn't going to do **** but justify their reckless actions. At the end of the day, that's all it is anyway. Kids would be legally allowed to drink, and it'd be SO much easier for them to provide alcohol to even more minors. I'm not even going to lie, I'm 16 and I've drank alcohol multiple times, but I still agree that it's wrong.
I think if we leave the drinking age where it is, it's not going to change much. But by lowering it, it could make things worse. I don't know. This one is confusing. And don't even get me started on drunk driving.

True, people that want to drink will drink anyway so the age should not be lowered. I have never had alcohol before and I am 17.
