Well you need to actually listen to it more to get the feel of it.

Examples-
I gave 'Dear John' more than one, thought it was terrible at first, now it's one of my favorites of the album.
I gave 'The Time' more than one, at first I was disappointed, now it's #2 on my countdown this week and possibly going to be #1 the next or the next next.
