She's at a crossroads.
One path (Alejandro video) leads to "artistic liberation", go against conventional beauty, androgynity, switch gender roles, strong religious content etc. The path to irrelevancy and a female Marylin Manson.
The other path (Bad Romance, Paparazzi, Telephone) is being crazy but still fun and entertaining, as opposed to depressing and serious, and subtle, hidden art. This path is in the vein of Andy Warhol and the reason for becoming successful in the first place, in my opinion (of course coupled with her vocal talent and work ethic).
