Radio has been very supportive of Lady GaGa, she had 6 consecutive #1s on the pop format. It's never easy for a white artist to top the airplay charts, but given the resurgence of pop music it is not as difficult as it once was. Radio is not a major liability for her, it could be much worse. Katy + Ke$ha are in the same position and they seem to be going OK.

When I heard JD back when it started charting in Canada I knew it would be #1 in the UK, I never thought Lady GaGa would become a household name in the states. Like everyone I underestimated her. I wouldn't write Lady GaGa off, she's seen the mistakes Madonna made, hopefully she took notes from them.
