Right.

What I've read (I've only read 2 reviews, one negative and one positive) is that he did a bad job making the transition from Shange's poetry to his own more stiff (to say the least) writing style. I think the actresses did fabulously well... all of them.

I think this is the movie where he wanted people to take him seriously as a director/producer and he's aiming for the Oscar. If this movie is a critical failure, then his Oscar chances are out of the window.

**** a critic, we and he are here for those box office numbers and that is what matters. Even though I get pissed that there will be some brilliant acting and the women will be overlooked for some wack ass white girl with a ******** performance at the Oscars.

Of course they did fabulously the cast is amazing and the characters seem great.
I must see it. Loretta, Whoopi and Phylicia all on camera with their amazing acting.

I'm thinking at least 34million box office first weekend. With high ass user reviews and a rotten tomato score of 74-78.

Anyway, I still don't get why Gabourey Sidibe didn't get that award for Precious.
I saw Blind Side and Sandra was great. But, Gabourey gave heart breaking performance that will always be remembered. Sandra didn't give me that at all.
