I feel like their voices wouldn't really sound good together though. They're too different.

How could I forget the major reason for the decline for females in general. The boybands. Arashi has had multiple singles this year to pass 500k (last Ayu single to pass 500k was in 2002) as well as the current #1 album of the year which has sold over 1,000,000 copies. Also their DVDs combined have sold 1.5-2m bringing their physical sales total alone for 2010 to at least 4-5m. They still have another single or two left.

Kuu could sing in her Inside Fishbowl high voice and their voices would mesh perfectly.

Don't forget the Korean wave going on in Japan right now. Every group in South Korea is trying to break into Japan, and they're succeeding.
edit: Also, the obvious thing about Japan that's existed for a while is that boybands always sell more and have larger fanbases than solo female idols.

Arashi will not own Japan like this in the midsts of all these other gorls.

Ah well. What will be, will be. It would be great if they came up with a great idea though.
But anyway Ayu is unbothered, and apparently will continue to be awesome and make great music, pvs, and performances because she is the Empress and loves her job, and I and all the rest of Ayu fans will love her.

Ayu has released a lot of ballads as singles lately. They all seem to be the typical Ayu ballads as well. maybe if she released some unique songs as singles before the album then her sales could slightly improve. Remember singles give the impression of the album and also an insight. Lately we have had a lot of typical Ayu songs. Maybe if she changed her style and created something a bit more diverse think it could help her slightly.

I know, of course she does. But her singles recently have been ballad after ballad. Every release after Sparkle have been typical Ayu and nothing interesting. Her style does change, but it kind of samples her old stuff if that makes sense. Because Ayu has been so versatile over the past 10 years, it seems she can pull nothing more else from the bag.

I know, that's exactly what I said. I'm pretty sure people are kinda sick of her ballads already. She needs to release Sparkle 2.0 NOW.

What if Beyonce sang it? I actually think it fits Beyonce more then Rihanna because Beyonce's voice is perfect for the chorus.

I absolutely LOVE crossroad... but that is because enjoy typical Ayu songs like that. But Sparkle was definitely her last song which blew me away. It was fresh, original and fun. We haven't had anything like that for ages
