So I'm a bit busy this week, but I'll try to keep up with these recaps.
So here's what to expect for next week:
* A brand-new #1 video!
* THREE countdown debuts, including:
>> One by a pop-punk trio that just very recently reunited and went on tour again after their drummer was involved in a near-fatal plane crash.
>> Another by one of the few all-white rap groups, with the first single off of To the 5 Boroughs.
>> And the last one by an Aussie band that is still on the countdown this week, and who apparently had some harsh words to say to a female.
* And we bid adieu to two videos that had been on the countdown for quite a while, and one that is gone WAY too soon (at least for now...).
Good job, Brandon!! You got those two correctly. Since I'm a tad busy today, though, I'll give y'all some more time to figure out the third debut (and the #1 and the fall-outs if you so wish). However, I think my clue should be a bit clearer, so I'll explain it a bit more carefully:
It's an Australian (Aussie) band that has another video on the countdown this week, and the title of the song is comprised of a few harsh words for a female (especially the last one). Does that help?? (Hint: Check out some previous Flavas.)
Gosh this was a busy last couple of days!!! Anyway, all three debuts =
Great #1 video this week, too!
AND Liz Phair's "Extraordinary" in the Flavas
"100 Years" falling, though
Note: Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" is the last video to drop off the countdown which debuted in 2003. Everyone left debuted in 2004 (including Maroon 5, which debuted in the first week of January 2004).
Anyway, here's what to expect for next week:
* A new(-ish) #1 video.
* A countdown debut from Miss Damita Jo, with a single whose lack of success was often seen as part of the backlash stemming from the Super Bowl incident.
* A countdown return from a rock band that fell off the countdown fairly recently (I guess they were meant to live for much more...).
* And we say goodbye to two R&B videos.
Also, good debut and great return!
And Anastacia and Franz Ferdinand in the Flavas =
But Prince and Alicia falling off
Here's what to expect for next week:
* A Queen coming back for her throne at the top of the countdown.
* TONS of movement, including a +5 and a +6 leap, and a -5 and a -13 drop that you'll have to see to believe!!
* A countdown debut from an English singer's Soul Sessions (are you diggin' on her already???).
* And a countdown fall-off I'm STILL pissed about 6 years later, because that video was gone too soon!! (In fact, I miss it already... )
