The point the person made was that Mariah's GH outsold Bey's studio albums. I know it's not even a valid argument, but Satellites said that Mariah's GHs didn't outsell Bey's albums...which we now know isn't true.

DIL was already way past 8.5 when the list was made and touched 9 million when I Am...Sasha Ferocious came out.
