After all the recent suicides, every celeb is talking about gay rights, making videos, etc. etc. As usual, Lady Gaga is ahead of the curve and did it before the suicides.

Well she may be doing it for publicity just a bit.

I like that she didn't say anything after the suicides though, like it's not something she does when something tragic happens, but something she advocates generally.

I am not trying to throw any shade, and I am in fact gay. However, why do people think she uses the gay community? To look edgy? I don't get it. I feel like if she were "using" us, she would just talk about us constantly (which she does), but she wouldn't donate so much of her time and money towards LGBT charities and issues.

Well what I meant is that people have slammed her for doing it as a trend sort of thing, but now everyone is making videos about gay suicides as a trend, when she's at least been consistent on the issue regardless of whether she wants publicity out of it or not.

I see your point, that would be interesting - but I supposed this would be a good opportunity for her to stress the importance of the issue, that it's actually happening daily and has dire consequences.
