Oh and by the way, Burlesque is also already getting Oscar buzz for Best Costume, too.

And all of that would be amazing! I just don't want to get my hopes too up. I just want the general public to like/love it. That would be already a success

I feel this could do wonders for Christina's image. People have this idea that she's some icy, cold bitch when she's not that all. I don't even know where that idea came from. I think with this film, she'll have that Debutina, girl-next-door vibe.

And that's what I'm hoping for. If that will happen, I'll see the movie as a success, despite all the numbers and/or awards it'll win.

She definitely made the right choice when she decided to participate in Burlesque... at least for now

The best shot that it has at the Oscars are in the Best Original Song, Best Costume Design, & Best Makeup fields. Acting categories are extremely doubtful.

She could manage to snag an actress nomination at the Golden Globes, but I feel like Cher will get that nomination & Christina might get snubbed, but it's all dependent on her & the movie's performance.

If the critics like it, I wouldn't rule out Best Picture. Thank God there are 10 nominees now.

Depending on the performances, I think Sony would try to campaign for both: Christina as lead, and Cher getting the Best Supporting nom.

I would be extremely happy with nominations for those 3 categories you mentioned

From what I've read, at least from people who worked on the movie, Christina really has a strong shot at getting a nomation for best actress at the GG... but it's still a bit early to predict. I'm hoping she'll surprise people with her acting skills

Yeah the Golden Globes love musicals, Burlesque will see nominations there. (The Globes are on January 11th)

Most likely -
Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical
Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical (Christina Aguilera)
Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture (Cher)
Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture (Stanley Tucci)
Best Original Song - Motion Picture

So a possible 5 altogether
