Well, I wasn't trying to say that Ke$ha's magic with Dr. Luke was greater than Gaga's magic with RedOne. Obviously, both of those artists have amazing chemistry with their respective producers, and certainly Ke$ha's path to success was made easier by artists like Gaga who came through and popularized this breed of dancey pop music that is dominating right now.
My only point was that I commend Rihanna for not seeking out Dr. Luke (like Katy following Ke$ha's success) or hunting down RedOne (who's profile went up ten fold after his success with Gaga) and asking them to create one of their formulaic hits for her. Only Girl is on trend with the house music influences that are popular right now, but I don't think it sounds stale either.
