Gaga's numbers are so misleading, it's pointless to even compare.
She released on a Black Friday.
But the competition was insane.
And it was treated as a re-release and not a proper album.
But then it was also sold as a separate album.
But it was only an 8-track.
And she sold 325K.
But there were TWO albums. Andif there had only been one 8-track version, would the people who bought the Deluxe have bought the 8-track instead? Some probably would have. Who knows. Too many ifs, ands and buts to draw any real conclusions.
Pop albums just don't sell well. Gaga is an exception because we all know what trick she pulled.
Regardless of the tricks she pulled, her POP albums are still selling worldwide, years and months after their release and without a single or promo, while newer albums with hot hit singles are floundering.

Do you know exactly how much The Fame sold before the release of TFM?
Well, like I said, typically, pop females don't open up with huge numbers. They sell well overtime--- well, most of them. Whether GaGa released in a different format or not, she would be a good example. TF + TFM = 325k or so. That's pretty low for a Christmas release(s) for a huge pop star. But look at the consistency.
