BoA needed more than a collab with someone relevant. Her promo was handled so terribly that a collaboration with Michael Jackson wouldn't even have gotten her a hit. SM had no idea what they were doing in the US.

I can't believe it flopped that bad, it was a pretty good album, I loved every single track and it's the album that made a BoA fan

I mean of course I already knew her and stuff, but I wasn't a fan until that album came out.

There is everything plain about her English. I'm not talking about her vocal talent. I know she can sing moderately well. She just sounds like plain old English being spoken/sung. Ayu's English speaking on the other hand is so cute you wanna hug a baby

I don't recall if it was right after her divorce or during the end of her marriage, but basically in the song she is saying how she doesn't understand his feelings, "him" being her husband. He was a good deal older than her and it was clear they were almost never together. They never communicated and she expresses this in the lyrics. The title "You Make Me Want To Be A Man" is meant to mean she is tired of trying to understand her husband and makes her want to be done with him; be done with a relationship.
