Is it possible to make NHB, SYG & RT being in the 'Just Now' box at the top an option that the user decides on in their personal settings? If it is then you could make 'no' the auto setting so that new users aren't necessarily exposed to the mature content straight away, yet established members can handily know when there are new posts there without having to go to their respective sections
No, this has not been possible since early 2008, and it won't be coming back. When we upgraded the site to the current software in 2008, everyone had to pick a permanent user name that would last forever. Sorry!
