I'm sick of people saying that Ke$ha flopped in the UK. Tik Tok has sold 553,000 copies. (To put it into context, that's more than Rude Boy, Telephone and Pass Out) It was one of the biggest hits of the past year, it may have only peaked at number 4 but that was due to a poor release. It's a shame really, her career in the UK would be in an entirely different position in the UK now had she began with a #1 single. Radio would have been more supportive.

Rude boy has sold 530.000 and pass out has sold 540.000.... so theres not that much of a difference... dont point it like it was the hit of the year....
and yes... kesha was not a flop in the UK, but it was not EVEN NEAR as big as in the US

Actually, Rude Boy has sold 503,500 and Pass Out 513,700. Telephone sold 526,000 downloads in case you wanted to know.
I was not making out that it was the hit of the year, I was highlighting the fact that it was a much bigger hit than its chart peak suggests.

I would love to see theyear to date sales if you have them!!!

I don't think so at all. It had hardly any promo and didn't peak in it's first week it climbed from very low on the charts into the top 10. I wouldn't call it a flop at all.
And for the people saying she did crap: Ke$ha is not a flop. Tik Tok had a lot of longevity. BBB peaked off hype with no video at that time and with no promotion. Drug didn't get into the top 10 but it was in the top 20 for a long time and was a radio hit. If its sales hadn't been stretched out over such a long period of time then it would have probably made top 5

The UK mid-weeks are not allowed to be published in their entirety, I'm not 100% sure why but that's the way it is. That's why figures posted are always incomplete, it's never the full Top 40. It's perceived as more acceptable to post number such as 7+8 rather than 15 because you are not technically saying its position. It's stupid, but at least we get updates. Better than nothing.
Alejandro is no.15 and TFM is no.6. You add the numbers, or subtract sometimes... Whatever way the equation is presented.
