Yes, it does happen quite often, especially within the Top 15-20 of the AC charts.
In Smile's case, it's currently charting on Country, with it being Recurrent on HAC, and almost Top 40 on CHR, and had minor impact on AAA.
In Need You Now's case, 11+ months ago on Country, then to HAC/CHR, with it hovering around the 38-50 zone on AAA.
In Haven't Met You Yet's case, it originated at AC, then to HAC, then to CHR, and now a minor dent on AAA.
Lastly, Hey, Soul Sister: It was 1st on HAC/AAA Radio, then to CHR, and now here. I heard it is being sent to Country radio. No, I'm NOT kidding! http://pulsemusic.proboards.com/inde...y&thread=98015

Oh my goshhhh. I love Hey Soul Sister and everything, but I think I might die if I hear it one more time on the radio. It is incredible how much it has sold and how much it is still selling. Its number 18 on iTunes!!

I'm still really loving the whole Paramore/Miranda Cosgrove and Natasha Bedingfield/Lady Antebellum thing. Both of those cases are two songs that are literally fighting with each other as they climb. The best thing is, is that I love all four songs, and knowing that while they're fighting each other, that means they are increasing as well! I love that! Hopefully Z100 will add both "I Run to You" and "Touch" soon. I also really want to see "The Only Exception" and "Kissin U" at least make it top 15. Top 10 would be amazing, but it will be hard with "California Gurls" taking forever to fall out of the top 10, and "Ridin' Solo," "Love the Way Your Lie," "Billionaire," and "Cooler Than Me" planning to run the top 10 for a while.

That happened quite freqenty with GaGa and Ke$ha. And is I Run To You being released to Pop?

Yep. I hated that they were doing so. "Our Kind of Love" just needs less guitar and I think it could be a hit at pop, but for some reason they went with "I Run to You" instead. However, if it does become a hit I would be pleased.
