but i have to say that we were very close to enter the cup of 2006.... but the US lost intentionally against Trinidad y Tobago ¬¬
Now that Brazil is not gonna play the qualifyers , we have one more spot for South Americans ( I think and I hope ) but I think we're screwed anyway.
I had heard that FIFA was going to take out one of the spots that usually give to South America so that 4 would classify and not 5.. because of Brazil being the World Cup host

I know they've done it in the past when the champion was automatically classified for the next World Cup and Brazil won in 1994, but they didn't do that with Africa this time, why would they do it with South America?
They won't do it, they would consider it had South America had a bad performance in this world cup, but given the amazing performance of the south american teams, it won't happen.
