don't people usuall refer to the population of the country to determine their potential, or at least their perceived potential?

.....It's really amazing how an extremely tiny country like Uruguay is able to be relevant, let alone dominate on an international scale like they've done

I'm still puzzled... we qualified playing two matches against Costa Rica.. winning by a small margin and now we finished 4th in the World Cup, and having played two outstanding matches against Netherlands & Germany...

Exactly..... and just to think what might have happened if Uruguay had ALL their players in the match against Holland..... i'm pretty sure the outome would have been very different...


I actually think Uruguay had a chance to win the entire cup

But even though they didn't i'm glad they went out like CHAMPIONS each game they lost....
